Night dream conceptualization in Russian and Belarusian phraseology

People has always checked with them, as they are convinced that the superpowers rule over their reality through night dreams. The aim of the article is to search night dream conceptualization according to Russian and Belarusian phraseology, so to examine who the night dream nature is understood by the common people, the author of the phraseology, to present explicit cultural information expressed implicitly in the language entities. When determining night dream conceptualization according to Russian and Belarusian phraseology, we use in our article the cognitive definition method, concept profiling methodology applied to the language material by the Lublin linguistic school scientists. Russian and Belarusian glossaries give the same definitions. However, as known, cognitive definition is much wider than the dictionary one. The material in the article is presented within several semantic groups night dream – supernatural power, night dream – soul, night dream – death, night dream – reality, the last one is expressed with the wide range of examples. The following were sorted out: night dream – food, night dream – idleness, night dream – medicine, night dream – alcohol abuse, night dream – knowledge. As a result of comparison similarities and differences in Russian and Belarusian naïve outlook were ascertained.cherny0101@tut.by1221122
