Similar or different? Social position and identity of youth of Central and Eastern Europe

The aim of the article is to confront the theory of cultural capital and social capital from the social reality in the border regions of the three countries: Poland, Hungary and Ukraine, with particular emphasis on the role played by young people in these societies. This confrontation will include both a theoretical reflection, focusing on the problem of the application of the theory of cultural and social capital to describe societies of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and also the results of empirical studies carried out among high school students in Poland, Hungary and Ukraine.
