The attitude of the general administration toward the press in interwar Poland was researched by many authors before but, specifically, from the position of the central institution. This article is an attempt to systemize the problem by showing the Press as: the instrument of the communication with society (in several aspects); the source of information for the administration; and the instrument of the social control over the general administration.
