The article deals with the various ways of presenting actual and imagined space in Stryjkowski’s novel. The author analyses spatial metaphors implied by the topography of a Jewish town which are typical for the writer. He puts forth a thesis about the connections between spatial representations of the novel’s child-hero and representations created by Chagall.25326
