Her research interests focus on British and American popular literature and culture, particularly on the various aspects of fantasy fiction. She co-edited Visuality and Vision in American Literature (2014), Dwelling in Days Foregone: Nostalgia in American Literature and Culture (2016), and Tekstowe światy fantastyki (2017). She is currently working on a book about Christianity and fantasy fiction, which is going to be published by McFarland (USA).Mariusz Maciej Leś, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Institute of Polish Studies, University of Białystok, and leader of the Interdisciplinary Research Team on Fantastic Literature. Author of books: Stanisław Lem wobec utopii (Stanisław Lem Considering Utopia, Białystok 1998), Fantastyka socjologiczna. Poetyka i myślenie utopijne (Sociological Science Fiction. Poetics and Utopian Thinking, Białystok 2008), and a series of articles about science fiction and utopia. Member of the Science Fiction Research Association, Science Fiction Poetry Association and Adam Mickiewicz’s Literary Society.
