This article presents Maria Komornicka, the modernist poet who promised interestingly as a writer and literary critic. Maria Komornicka is a person with a tragic biography associated with mental illness and the result of this was her mental transformation into Piotr Odmieniec Włast. This article concerns selected works of the poet, in which personality (person) experiences of the body, corporeality, difference and otherness. Besides, it shows the symbolic area of the “not-completely born”, bodily infirmity, transgression, searching and finding their own identity in her works.12313
