The main aim was to produce aluminium alloy that contain quasicrystalline (predominantly icosahedral) and Al3(Sc,Zr) precipitates. The precipitates are obtained by direct ageing from the as-cast condition (T5 treatment). Both types of precipitates are stable and increase low temperature strength, as well as heat resistance. The dataset includes results of DTA, XRD and TEM investigations. From HRTEM micrographs we obtain orientational relationship of different precipitates with the Al-matrix. The dataset also contains rough resulst of compression and creep tests.
