In this paper we present the initial steps towards a model to relate the performance of vehicular networks, characterized by the packet loss rate and the delay, with the number of nodes or vehicles participating in the network. This model represents an initial step towards a context-aware system intended to modify the parameters of dissemination mechanisms or to use the most adequate ones, so that they improve the performance of the network. Our intention is to evaluate this proposal with several simulation scenarios where the context-aware mechanisms will be validated
