Background: Radiation dermatitis is one of the most common side effects of radiotherapy for breast cancer, affecting approximately 85 percent of patients. The aim of this study is to assess the effect of Licorice root (Glycyrrhizin glabra) and Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) on preventing radiotherapy-induced dermatitis in breast cancer patients. Methods: Seventy-five patients with breast cancer who had undergone mastectomy and were planned to receive radiotherapy (RT) were enrolled in this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
