Left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) technology has been developing over 10 years from its research and development to routine clinical application and has acquired solid evidence-based support through the Protection in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation, PREVAIL, and other registered studies. However, this technology still faces misinterpretation and confusion over its concept and acceptance as a universal clinical application.
