This study investigates the teaching act in a context of technological and professional higher education by means of interpretative analysis of the language actions. It aimed at discussing the teachers’ labor mediated by digital tools and the factors of these circumstances that prevent or impede the prescribed, planned and real work. The data emerged from the implementation of an instructional didactic sequence of the technical report textual gender which was carried out in a class of the Internet Systems Technological Course by means of the mediation of new technologies of information and communication.
