François Bon et la fiction comme pratique

Some of contemporary French literature is characterized by a willingness to confront reality. In François Bon’s works, this approach is in vivid contrast with fiction as an act of invention. However, Bon does not give up fiction, but rather reveals it as transformed—both pragmatically and poetically—by its new minority status. This paper investigates how this residual fiction behaves in a referential context, showing how it produces knowledge as well as beliefs.
