Introduction: the term hydatidosis is used to describe the zoonosis caused by hydatid cysts, cystic larvae of the metacestode belonging to the genus of Echinococcus granulosus that parasitizes the intestine of the dog. Case report: a case is presented with pulmonary hydatidosis in a patient treated at Patacamaya hospital, La Paz, Bolivia; presenting respiratory symptoms such as chest pain and dyspnea, together with malaise. The patient underwent chest X-ray that showed tumor-like images in both vertices, the treatment followed included antiparasitic and surgical procedure solving the clinical picture presented.
