IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM KOTA TANPA KUMUH (KOTAKU) DALAM PENINGKATAN KUALITAS HIDUP (Studi di Kelurahan Kotalama, Kecamatan Kedungkandang, Kota Malang)

This study examines efforts to improve the quality of life of the community through the implementation of a city program without slums (KOTAKU) in Kotalama Village, in the context of social environmental relations. The problem of slum settlement arises because of the limited land area and the high demand for housing, this results in a high level of density resulting in slum areas caused by road access, drainage, sanitation, waste and other basic housing facilities. Efforts to improve the quality of life can be increased through indicators of quality of life, namely about conditions of living, access to clean water, The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive type, the results of the study are based on data found in the field. The research subject studied was the chairman of the KOTAKU program and the RT 09 community in part of RW 10, Kelurahan Kotalam. Data collection techniques used are interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques include presenting data, coding data after themes and descriptions, and validating data. The results of the study show that the success of the program is still far from the planning carried out by the program being implemented, still causing new problems in the community and the participation of the community is limited to the project workers. The need for the role of the community and the sustainability of the program, so that the program does not stop after the program is implemented and the quality of life through a city program without slums (KOTAKU) is realized
