Activated CD3+CD4+ and CD3+CD8+ T cell populations of PBMCs from BCG+ donors (solid bars) and BCG- donors (open bars) infected with Mtb H37Ra were determined by flow cytometry at day 8 post-infection: activated naïve CD3+CD4+ T cells (CD3+CD4+CD45RA+CCR7+CD38+HLADR+), activated effector CD3+CD4+ T cells (CD3+CD4+CD45RA-CCR7-CD38+HLADR+) and activated central memory CD3+CD8+ T cells (CD3+CD8+CD45RA-CCR7+CD38+HLADR+). Data were plotted as mean±SD and represent 5 samples per donor group, experiments were performed in triplicate per condition per donor. *p<0.05, PBMCs from BCG+ donors compared to PBMCs from BCG- donors.</p
