Evolution and status of the EFTA: a future possibility for the UK after Brexit?

The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) plays a key role in the global and European trade. This presentation proposes the analysis of its past, its present and its future perspectives. After revising its origins, its foundational incentives and its legal-economic and organisational basic elements, an analysis based on current commercial indicators is performed. Finally, a discussion is proposed about the potential reincorporation of the United Kingdom to the EFTA space after Brexit and the main answers provided by the research are collected.
