Examples of recurrence plots (RPs) of RR intervals’ phase space trajectory for Patient 15, Seizure 2. (a) RP during the interictal phase (60 minutes from the seizure); (b) RP during preictal phase and (c) RP during postictal phase. It can be observed that the RP of the preictal phase presents more regular patterns and long diagonal lines while the RPs of the interictal a more disorganized pattern, with shorter diagonal lines, hence lower determinism. In the RPs the distance to the next recurrence point is color-coded.</p
