Male offspring weaned from dams fed a standard chow diet (SD) or a Western diet (WD) were given ad libitum access to standard chow for 8 weeks. Body weights were monitored and feeding behavior was tested. WD offspring had higher body mass at time of wean but body weights were rapidly normalized over the monitoring period (a). There were no differences meal size, rate of intake, meal duration, meal frequency, total caloric intake, dark cycle intake, light cycle intake, or in post meal interval (b-i).
