The purpose of this paper is to analyze fair trade systems and collaborative economics, as mechanisms for pursuing social justice, researching the role of the company, due to its social and solidarity function. The study is justified by the environmental, social and economic needs imposed on society, which generates damages to it and even to future generations. The objective is to demonstrate that, in addition to the need of the company to always seek profit, it is possible that it acts with social and solidarity purposes. For that, the fair trade is initially studied, in order to analyze the phenomenon of collaborative economics, finishing the study with a focus on the social and solidarity function of the company.
