The cross-sectional associations of (A) intensity of smoking (cigarettes/day), (B) cumulative dose of smoking (pack-years), (C) age started smoking (years), and (D) years since quitting smoking (years) with the risk for premature menopause (<40 years), early menopause (40–44 years), and menopause at 45–49 years in current and/or former smokers. All RRRs were adjusted for race/ethnicity/region, education level, and BMI. Never smokers were used as reference group. RRR, relative risk ratio.</p
