Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disorder manifested via chronic inflammation, demyelination, and neurodegeneration inside the central nervous system. The progressive phase of MS is characterized by neurodegeneration, but unlike classical neurodegenerative diseases, amyloid-like aggregation of self-proteins has not been documented.
