(A) Immunoblot analysis of mature adipocyte marker perilipin (PLIN) in isolated primary MEC fractions relative to mammary gland whole tissue lysates (WTL) during late pregnancy (P17) and established lactation (Lac2, Lac5, Lac7 and Lac10) in duplicate. Loss of the adipocyte-specific PLIN protein indicates substantial depletion of the adipose compartment that contributes to the signal of lipogenic genes and proteins. HSP90 was used as the loading control. (B) Immunoblot analysis of LXRα in subcellular fractions of isolated primary MECs indicates that LXRα is predominantly nuclear.
