ABSTRACT Health institutions suffer from the consequences of the forms of labor organization and society, including the occupational violence directed at nursing workers. This study is an integrative literature review that treats the interface of violence as occupational risk among nursing workers. Fifteen scientific articles were selected for content analysis, which resulted in the grouping of three categories. It was concluded that the violence in nursing work seems to tend to a delimited profile. Moral harassment should be a focus on leadership actions, in order to achieve the changes in the work process that favor the protection of victims.</p
