Metadata supporting data files on the relationship between dual endothelin receptor inhibition and T-DM1 efficacy in brain metastases 2 from HER2-positive breast cancer

This data record describes the data files that support the findings of the related publication: Dual endothelin receptor inhibition enhances T-DM1 efficacy in brain metastases from HER2-positive breast cancer.The study investigates the effective treatment of cerebral metastases from HER2-positive breast cancer in terms of the influence of macitentan, a dual inhibitor of endothelin receptors A and B, on ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) efficacy against breast cancers grown in the brain. T-DM1 is an anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugate. The study also reports on the effect of the endothelin axis mediating protection of HER2-amplified brain cancers against T-DM1.Study design summary:The methodology producing these data involved treatment of mice bearing human HER2-amplified BT474 brain tumors, engineered to express secretable Gaussia luciferase (BT474-Gluc), with T-DM1 alone or in combination with macitentan.
