The basal expression of immune effectors such as irg-4, irg-5, mul-1 and drd-50 are ensured by p38 MAPK PMK-1. Activated NHR-86 traffics to the promoters of these and other immune effectors to drive their induction and provide protection from bacterial infection.</p
