Recently reported black phosphorus quantum dots (BPQDs) possess unique photocatalysis activities. However, the environmental instability accompanied by a hypoxic tumor microenvironment (TME) seriously hindered the bioapplications of BPQDs, especially in oxygen-dependent photodynamic therapy (PDT).
