HeLa M (A) and BeWo (B) cells were incubated with liposomes in triplicate for 24 and 48 hours followed by incubation with MTT for 3 hours. Cell viability is shown as the percentage of the total MTT signal detected in untreated control cells. Error bars corresponds to the standard deviation (n = 4). Significant changes in cell viability (* indicates p < 0.05) compared to protein-free liposomes (see dashed line for 48 hour time point) was determined using One-way ANOVA test.</p
