The dataset contains: 1) 24h-average surface PM2.5 mass concentrations routinely measured at 1153 national air quality monitoring stations in China; 2) comprehensive measurements at four supersites in YRD, namely Dian Shan Lake (DSL; 31.1ºN, 121.0°E), Pudong (PD; 31.2º N, 121.5°E), Nanjing (NJ; 32.1ºN, 119.0°E) and Hangzhou (HZ; 30.3ºN, 120.2°E). They provided hourly concentrations of aerosol fine particles (PM2.5), water-soluble ions (sulfate, nitrate, ammonium and other ions), carbonaceous aerosols (EC and organic matter (OM)) and gaseous pollutants (SO2, NO2, carbon monoxide (CO) and ozone (O3)).
