BackgroundAnti-neutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies (ANCA) directed against myeloperoxidase (MPO) and proteinase 3 (PR3) are pathogenic in ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV). The respective role of IgG Fc and Fab glycosylation in mediating ANCA pathogenicity is incompletely understood.
