This slide deck was used as part of a training to researchers of the YTU and MMU universities in Yangon, Myanmar. The goal was to train researchers without access to research publications that are behing a paywall and with little to no experience with finding open access research articles. This 1-day training consisted of two parts: An online information literacy course for the researchers, in which they learned the basics of finding and evaluating research publications. An explanation of the total body of knowledge that is produced by the scientific community and the role that open science plays in this body of knowledge.
