We explore the relation of the probability of transition and the respective geographical distance dij between stations i and j for the activity of BSS users in (a) Chicago and (b) New York. We present hexagonally binned two-dimensional histograms for the logarithm of and the logarithm of dij/d0 where d0 = 1 Km is a reference distance. Dashed lines depict the best fit described by Eq (4) for the pairs with i, j = 1, 2, …, N.
