L1 larvae were soaked with a scrambled siRNA (control) or one targeting daf-12 (daf-12(RNAi)) and were then exposed to different temperatures for 4 hours, after which their survival was determined. Worms maintained at 12 and 37°C both had a statistically significant increase in death following temperature stress (p = 0.003 and p = 0.005). Worms maintained at 15, 19 and 28°C had a highly statistically significant increase in death following temperature stress (all p0.01), * indicates a statistically significant difference (p-value ≤0.01 - ≥0.001), ** indicates a highly statistically significant difference (p-value ≤0.001).</p
