Fasta file of a D. simulans genome assembly (M252 strain, Madagascar). The genome was sequenced using PacBio (8 Gb, ~ 50x coverage) and assemblies obtained with Canu & Falcon were merged after polishing (Quiver and Pilon, two iterations each). The merged assembly was polished again (Quiver and Pilon, two iterations each) before anchoring contigs on the D. melanogaster r6 genome. The total genome size is 127.32 Mb, among which 115.08 Mb are anchored on D. melanogaster main chromosome arms. All details are available in the publication.</div
