Parameters of the in silico MMs (lines) Eqs (9)–(11) were estimated by simultaneously considering all data from Fig 4 (circles) for the total RSV yield quantified via qRT-PCR (A, B, C), and the RSV infectious titer quantified both on HEp-2 (D, E, F) and SIAT (G, H, I) cells, of supernatant samples collected from experimental infection of SIAT cells, performed in duplicate, at 3 different MOIs (3 different columns). The blue lines correspond to the poor infection efficacy MM, Eqs (9) and (10), while the orange line corresponds to the infection resistance MM, Eqs (9)–(11), wherein infectivity is assumed to be zero (β = 0) a time τF post-infection.</p
