Synthesis of Alkynyl Sulfides by Copper-Catalyzed Thiolation of Terminal Alkynes Using Thiosulfonates

A mild and odorless copper-catalyzed thiolation of terminal alkynes with thiosulfonates is described. The broad substrate scope provides convenient access to a wide variety of sulfur-containing heterocycles.
