Clausena lansium, also known as wampee, is a species of strongly scented evergreen trees belonging to the genus Clausena (Rutaceae), which is native to southern China. Its ripe fruits have been consumed as a very popular fruit and reported to possess a range of biological activities. To study the potential health-promoting constituents from the fruits of C. lansium, a chemical investigation on its fruits was thus carried out.
