Immunoblot analysis of (A) lipoprotein expression and (B) regulatory protein expression across different B. burgdorferi bb0017 mutant and complemented strains. A Tn::oppA1 mutant was also included in these experiments as a further control strain. Bacterial cultures were grown at 32°C with 1% CO2 until early stationary phase. A volume corresponding to 1×108 bacteria was harvested by centrifugation, cells were washed and lysed, and lysate corresponding to approximately 2×105 cells was subjected to immunoblot analysis. FlaB levels were analyzed as a loading control.</p
