Last spring at the Iowa Academy of Science meeting we reported seven species of liverworts found in Henry County. Since that time seven more species have been found making a total of fourteen species. Those that were reported last year have been found in numerous other places. Conocephalum conicum has been found in many parts of the county. Marchantia polymorpha has been found in several places along Skunk River and Big Creek. Reboulia hemisphaerica occurs quite frequently throughout the county. Ricciocarpus natans grows profusely along the mud flats of Skunk River and in several ponds.
