Allied POWs Incarcerated at Langensalza

Note the POW identification badges on the left arms of the prisoners. The Germans integrated prisoners from various Allied nations into the same prison camp to avoid accusations of favoritism. The Western Entente governments protested against this policy because of the risk of epidemics from Russian troops.
