Water resources are contaminated with OCPs in various ways. These pesticides show accumulation either directly or via feediing in the body of fish and other aquatic organisms. The human health is also affected OCPs through diet. In this study, OCPs were determined in fish species living in Upper Sakarya Basin. For sampling, the fish was collected seasonaly from Upper Sakarya Basin. The sampled fishes were stored in a freezer at -20ºC until analytiical analyses. The muscle tissue of fish samples were used in extraction processes. After extractions, pesticide residues were determined by using Micro-ECD detector of a gas chromotogrphy in order to calculate the amount of OCPs.
