Illustrated exchange communication system for children with mental retardation and autism

The Bachelor thesis called "Illustrated exchange communication system for children with mental retardation and autism" deals with the theme of special pedagogy. The thesis is divided into two consecutive parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part draws on professional publications and deals with terms such as autism, mental retardation, exchange image communication system, primary school and special school, communication, augmentative and alternative communication. The second part is elaborated in a practical level, where the basis is a questionnaire, which is answered by parents of children in elementary school and special school in Merklín. The aim of this work is to find out what is the awareness of parents about the exchange picture communication system and the subsequent cooperation of school and parents with other possibilities of training in the field of alternative communication
