Use of past tenses in Venezuela (comparative study)

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the comparison of the past tense in Venezuela. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the use of past tenses in Spanish language, the creation, characteristic and function in the territory of Spain and Latin America. At the same time are mentioned some linguistic phenomenon of two previous past tenses. There are two chapters in the practical part. The first chapter is focused on the frequency of prototypical adverbs in connection with past tense in Venezuelan literature and press. The analysis is performed using the CREA and CORPES XXI corpuses. The second chapter is about the frequency of presence of past tense on internet blogs in Venezuela which is worked up through the corpus Araneum Hispanicum Maius
