This paper discusses issued fatwas by the states in Malaysia in the field of Muamalat. The scope of fatwas is from 1976 till 2015. The statistics of fatwas related to muamalat is presented based on major sub-areas in muamalat including stocks and investments, trading, riba’, zakat, waqf, baitulmal, insurance, banking and inheritance. At the same time, a number of fatwa that has been gazzeted and vice versa. The main and important issues in muamalat is reviewed. Data regarding fatwa is obtained from www.e-fatwa.my and analyzed descriptively. This study concludes that muamalat field has its own position in state’s fatwa and this reflects the development of Muslim society in this field
