Can I take Carl Gustav Jung's theories, specifically the collective unconscious, the archetypes and the process of individuation, and with them create a technically strong and well developed piece of written theatre, whilst still retaining a sense of personal style? This study will examine a combination of the theories of Carl Gustav Jung and the practice of playwriting. The aims of this study are to create a technically strong, well developed play that retains a sense of personal style, whilst clearly conveying the theories of Jung. To create this play, this study uses a variety of exercises, tools and techniques given by various experts in the field of playwriting, and its success will be measured through self-reflection.
