This dissertation examines the changing technology in the modern theatre and how this can be used to enhance contemporary theatre productions. Exploring the Classical forms of theatre used during the Ancient Greek period in comparison to the modern equipment available within the Olivier theatre at the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain, these methods are explored through the creation of a 1:50 scale model box of the Oliver theatre showcasing two Classical Greek texts - Oedipus the King (1986) and Antigone (1986) by Sophocles.
