This thesis is aimed towards an exploration of the complimentarity between psychological and sociological theoretical and methodological concepts and resources, in the undertaking of an in-depth analysis of the integrity of the lived experiences of women living with and beyond breast cancer diagnosis. Breast cancer accounts for 10% of newly diagnosed cases each year worldwide, and is the most prevalent form of cancer in UK women under age 45 (Warren, 2010; Adams, et al., 2011).
