Guided bone regeneration is a well-established technique used for augmentation of deficient alveolar ridges, by excluding certain cell types and promoting the bone reconstruction after a bone loss, thanks to the use or certain types of membrane called barrier membrane. This bone loss is generally the consequence of a trauma which can result from several factors.The treatment of this type of resorption is a real challenge in orthopedic and craniomaxillofacial surgery.
