A healthy housing is a means of shelter or refuge and is a means to attain the degree of health particularly optimum family. The Housing is to be healthy should be in accordance with the requirements of the healthy housing according to standards that have been set. The achievement of Central Java's healthy housing was 83.92% but not comparable with the percentage of healthy houses in Surakarta, especially at Semanggi, Surakarta which only 46.4% of the 7,467 houses, this could occur due to a lack of knowledge about healthy housing. Knowledge is one of the important factor in order to create a healthy home, in addition to knowledge of the role of family members is also one of the keys in order to create a healthy housing. This research aimed to know the knowledge and role in family members against the behavior of mother in home health at semanggi surakarta. Type of this research quantitative and analytical research by design approach of cross sectional. The population 4752 in this study were all housing in Semanggi, Surakarta. The number of samples in this study were 149 housing selected by Propotional Random Sampling.
