The review of the literature on this pathology and its treatment using peritoneal dialysis, as well as the study of eight patients, however makes it possible to affirm that in its current methods peritoneal dialysis constitutes a substitute treatment of choice in the event of renal insufficiency at a patient suffering from a severe hepatopathy, that it is within the framework of the acute renal insufficiency or in that of the chronic renal insufficiency.L'association d'une hépatopathie chronique ou aiguë et d'une insuffisance rénale est habituellement grevée d'une mortalité très importante.
