This research aims at understanding the socio-spatial dynamics of conflicts of use related to the environment on the Languedoc-Roussillon coastal areas. Considering and dealing with these opposing forces represent a major step for the legitimacy and the perenniality of integrated management projects for coastal areas. In fact, they are becoming testing grounds for the different types of conflict managment, revealing an emerging environmental mediation.
